Chicago Manufacturing Campus, Chicago, IL

ALKA was hired to design this 150+ acre campus on the South side of the City of Chicago. This supplier campus for the Ford Motor Company is located on what was an existing brownfield site (contaminated site) which required ALKA to work closely with both environmental and soil specialists to develop a plant list that would be able to survive the conditions of the site. This project was the first of its kind in the City of Chicago and standards were written for the Calumet area based on this project.
